As per the latest news published in the Assam's leading Newspaper, ''THE ASSAM TRIBUNE'' sources NRC news today said that after years of wait, the stage is set for publication of the 1st list of the draft National Register of Citizens (NRC Assam 2017) tomorrow (01-01-2018). However, the first draft will only contain names of those whose document verification process has been completed and it will not contain photos of Indian citizens living in the State.
The complete draft, to be published after the completion of the verification process of all those who had applied for inclusion of their names in the NRC, will contain names of all genuine Indian citizens living in Assam along with their photographs.
The office of the State Co-ordinator for updating the Assam NRC list 1951 has made elaborate arrangements for the benefit of the people to check their names in the first draft. The draft will be made available online and the same will also be available in the NRC Sewa Kendras all over the State from 8 am on January 1. The citizens will also be able to get information through SMS service.
The State Coordinator for NRC, Prateek Hajela has made it clear that no genuine Indian citizen should be worried if his or her name does not appear in the first draft as the verification process is yet to be completed. “If the name of any genuine Indian citizen does not appear in the first draft, it means the verification process of the person is yet to be completed. Even after the publication of the final draft, enough scope will be given for the filing of claims and objections”.

- For an online process visit this link NRC Assam Final Result List or visit any of NRC Assam official website: www.nrcassam.nic.in, www.assam.mygov.in, www.assam.gov.in, www.homeandpolitical.assam.gov.in
- Select your language
- Then select your district
- Enter your first name, last name and all necessary details
- And then click on search
- Finally, your result will appear on the screen and take a print out copy of your result.
- Visit your nearest NRC Seva Kendras
- From 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on 1" January 2018
- and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM from 2nd January 2018 till 31 "January 2018 on all working days.
- Pre-register your mobile number by sending an SMS to 9765556555 or 9108464438 or 9108464450
- If you avail the pre-registration facility you will receive an SMS automatically about the inclusion of your name in Part Draft on expiry of midnight of 31st December 2017.
- The format for pre-registration is ARN space ARN. For example: If your *ARN is 101856721980000087961, then type ARN 101856721980000087961 and send it to 9765556555 or 9108464438 or 9108464450
- This service is already active and will remain active till 6.00 PM on 31-12-2017.
4. The fourth process through on-demand SMS about the inclusion of your name in Part Draft:
- You can send SMS to 9765556555 or 9108464438 or 9108464450 after the expiry of midnight of 31st December 2017 in the format ARN space ARN to get information on the inclusion of your name in Draft.
- For example: If your *ARN is 101856721980000087961, then type ARN 101856721980000087961 and send it to 9765556555 or 9108464438 or 9108464450
- You will receive SMS in reply to the inclusion of your name in Part Draft.
