1. Post Name: Junior Administrative Assistant
Total posts: 174 Nos. (UR =100, STP=17, STH=05, SC=06, OBC/MOBC=44, PWD=02)
Pay Scale: Rs.14,000 -49,000/- + Grade Pay of Rs.8700 p.m. plus other allowances as admissible under Rules.
Qualification: Candidates should be Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 45% marks, 40% for SC/ ST candidates in their degree examination. The candidates must possess a minimum 6 months Diploma/Certificate in computer proficiency from a recognized institute. They must have good working knowledge of office productivity software tools (independent of any operating system, i.e. MS Windows, Linux, MAC etc.) such as Word Processor, Spread Sheet, presentation graphics, concept of database, internet and email.
2. Post Name: Computer Operator
i) English Language Computer Operator: 114 Nos.
ii) Assamese Language Computer Operator: 53 Nos.
Total posts: 167 Nos. (STP=19, STH=9, SC=8, OBC/MOBC=32, UR= 91, PWD=8)
Pay Scale: Rs.14,000 -49,000/- + GP of Rs.6200/- + other allowances
Qualification: Candidates shall be a Graduate in Arts, Science or Commerce from a University recognized by the State Government or a degree equivalent thereto and recognized by the Government. The candidates must also possess a minimum 6 months Diploma/ Certificate in Computer proficiency from a recognized Institute.
Age for both posts: 18 to 43 years of age on the 01-012017. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC and ST candidates. The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Matriculation/ HSLC Admit Card/ Certificate issued by a recognized Board/ Council and no other document shall be accepted in lieu thereof for the purpose.
Qualified Candidates will be called for written examination and Computer Proficiency Practical Test.
For Junior Administrative Assistant:
Phase-I: The candidates whose applications are accepted will be required to appear in an objective type written test to be held in the District Head Quarters of Assam on a date to be notified later on.
The syllabus for the objective type written test shall be as follows:
Phase-II: Against each vacancy, three candidates will be short listed on the basis of the marks obtained in the written test. After the written test, the short listed candidates will have to appear in a Computer Practical Test and Precis Writing test to be held centrally in Guwahati. Total marks for the Computer (Practical) Test will be 50 Marks and Precis Writing Test will be 50 Marks. They will have to bring all the original testimonials i.e. Age proof Certificate, Caste Certificate, Educational Qualification Certificate, Computer Proficiency Certificate etc along with Original Treasury Challan for document verification.
For Computer operator:
Phase-I: Candidates whose applications are accepted will be required to appear in a competitive examination to be held at examination zone mentioned below on the date to be notified later on. The examination will be of 100 marks with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) for 2 hours duration to be administered through OMR Sheets.
The syllabus for the objective type written test shall be as follows:
Examination Zone for Phase-I: Silchar, Diphu, Haflong, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Majuli, Nagaon, Lakhimpur, Tezpur, Mangaldai, Guwahati, Nalbari, Bongaigaon, Kokrajhar, and Dhubri.
Phase II: Against each vacancy four candidates will be short-listed on the basis of the marks obtained in the written test. The short-listed candidates shall have to appear in the Computer Proficiency Practical Test to be held centrally in Guwahati along with original testimonials including the original copy of Treasury Challan. The total marks for the Computer Proficiency Practical Test will be 100 marks.
