SSC Recruitment 2017 notification for filling following SSC CGL Online Application of  Combined Graduate Level Examination 2017. (Updated on 17-06-2017)

Staff Selection Commission will hold the Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2017 (Tier-I) from 01.08.2017 to 20.08.2017 for selecting candidates for Tier-II examination for filling up different categories of posts in various Ministries/ Departments/ Organisations. Subject to administrative/public exigencies, Final selection through the Combined Graduate Level Examination to specific categories of posts would be according to the confirmed number of vacancies from the concerned Indenting Ministries/ Department/Office/Cadres before declaration of results.

* Qualification for Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer: Candidates should have Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute. Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters I Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in
Business Economics.

* Qualification for Junior Statistical Officer: Candidates should have Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level: OR Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

* Qualification for All other Posts: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent. The candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification on or before 1st August 2017.

Age: Not above than 30 years (He/ she must have been born not earlier than 02-08-1987 and not later than 01-08-1999) for Post No. 01, 02, 04, 10, 12, 13, 16, 17 & 20, between 20 – 30 years (He/ she must have been born not earlier than 02-08-1987 and not later than 01-08-1997) for Post No. 03, 05 to 07, 09 & 18 and 18 – 27 years (He/ she must have been born not earlier than 02-08-1990 and not later than 01-08-1999) for Post No. 08, 11, 14, 15 & 19 as on 01-08-2017. Age relaxation is applicable to 05 years for SC/ ST candidates, 03 years for OBC, 10 years for PH, 13 years for PH + OBC and 15 years for PH + SC/ ST candidates. Scheme of the Examination for Combined Graduate Level Examination

The Examination will be conducted in four tiers as indicated below:

Tier -I = Computer Based Examination: 
A. General Intelligence Reasoning 25 Questions = 50 Marks = Time 60 Minutes
B. General Awareness 25 Questions = 50 Marks = Time 60 Minutes
C. Quantitative Aptitude 25 Questions = 50 Marks = Time 60 Minutes
D. English Comprehension 25 Questions = 50 Marks = Time 60 Minutes
Total Marks 200 for Tier-I

Tier -II = Computer Based Examination
I. Quantitative Abilities (100 Questions)  = 200 Marks = Time 120 Minutes
II. English Language & Comprehension: (200 questions)  = 200 Marks = Time 120 Minutes
III. Statistics (100 Questions) Paper-I & II as above = 200 Marks = Time 120 Minutes
IV. General Studies (Finance and Economics) (100 Questions) Paper-I & II as above = 200 Marks = Time 120 Minutes

Note: There will be negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer in Tier-I. In respect of Tier-II, the negative marking system of 0.25 for each wrong answer in Paper II (English Language & Comprehension) of Tier-II and 0.50 for each wrong answer in Paper-I, Paper III and Paper IV of Tier

Tier -III = Pen and Paper Mode (Descriptive paper):
* Descriptive Paper in English/Hindi (writing of Essays/Precie/Letter/Appli cations etc = Total marks 100 = Time 60 Minutes.

Tier-IV = Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (wherever applicable)/ Document Verification.

Selection Procedure:

After the Computer-based Examination and the Data Entry Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test/Document verification wherever applicable, the Commission will draw up the All India Merit List for each category of post. As many candidates as are found by the Commission to have qualified in the Examination shall be recommended for appointment for each category of post up to the number of vacancies available, taking into consideration option for the posts.

SSC Recruitment How to Apply Section

Application Fee: An application fee of Rs.100/- for all other candidates should be paid through State Bank of India SBI Challan or Online payment through Net Banking/  Debit & Credit cards of any bank. All Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying an application fee, as per extant government orders.
