CTET 2018 Online Registration (Central Teacher Eligibility Test)

CTET 2018 Online Registration (Central Teacher Eligibility Test): The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on September 16 in around 92 cities across the country. As per a notification released by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), the notification for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be released on 12-06-2018.

The examination will be conducted in and around 92 cities across the country. As per RTE Act, it is mandatory for candidates to be CTET Qualified to be able to apply for Central Government and State Government Schools. Besides government schools, private schools in India to give preference to CTET or State TET qualified teachers.

CTET Exam pattern:

The CTET exam has 2 papers. Paper, I is for those interested in teaching classes 1 to 5. Paper II is for those who wish to teach classes 6 to 8. In case an applicant wants to teach both levels, they will be required to sit for both papers I and II.

All questions in the CTET test are multiple choice questions. There is no negative marking.

Qualification: 

The Eligibility Criteria is different for selecting candidates to the post of Teacher for Classes I-V and for Classes VI-VIII.

a) Educational Qualification for Classes I-V:

A candidate who has completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with minimum 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration)

Selection Process: Candidates have to participate in Physical Efficiency Test, Trade Test (Skill Test) & Written Test.

Physical Efficiency Test:

(a) For Male Candidates- 05 Km run to qualify within 24 minutes.
(b) For Female Candidates- 1.6 Km run to qualify within 8.30 minutes.
