Qualification: Candidates should have Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.   Selection Procedure

The selection process will consist of on-line test (preliminary & main examination) and test of specified opted local language. Preliminary Examination will be conducted tentatively in the month of March/April 2018 and Main Examination will be conducted tentatively on 12.05.2018.

Phase-I: Preliminary   Examination: Preliminary Examination (online) consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test  would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:

Important Notice:
With reference to the earlier notice issued vide No.S(E)148/2017/42, dated 06.01.2018, it is for information to all concerned that due to unavoidable administrative reasons the Assam Secretariat Exam 2018 Admit Card Download for Written Examination for recruitment of Junior Administrative Assistant in the Janata Bhawan is rescheduled on 28.01.2018 (Sunday) instead of 21.01.2018 (Sunday). The instructions and guidelines already communicated vide No.S(E)148/2017/42, dated 06.01.2018 will remain same. Check official notification.

Secretariat Administration Department, Assam has released the admit card for the written examination for the recruitment of 174 posts of Junior Administrative Assistant. Candidates who applied for the Post of Junior Administrative Assistant in the Assam Secretariat in response to the Government Advertisement Reference No S(E)71/2014/163, dated 21.01.2018 28.01.2018 are hereby informed to note the following:

1. The Written Examination will be held on 21.01.2018 28.01.2018 in all the District Head Quarters of Assam. Duration of examination will be 3½ hours from 11.00 A.M. to 02.30 P.M.

2. The list of candidates who have been found eligible to sit for the Written Test will be uploaded to the website www.recruitmentaim.in. Applicants are advised to go to the above-mentioned website and check the Written Examination venue in which they will have to appear.

3. All information/instructions to the candidates and the Admit Cards will be available on the above website from 10.01.2018.

4. Candidates should visit the above website and download their individual Admit Card. They should also download the instructions.

5. The Examination Centre is mentioned on the Admit Card. No change of Examination Centre will be entertained.

6. All candidates are required to produce their Admit card in the examination center. Without Admit Card no candidate will be allowed to sit for the Written Examination.

7. No Mobile Phones, Calculators and any kind of communication devices will be allowed to carry inside the’ Examination Centre.

Qualification for all posts: Candidates must be Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University except for the post of Gaon Panchayat Secretary, the Candidate must be Commerce Graduate and must possess knowledge of Local Languages either Assamese/Bengali/Bodo in addition to the English Language for maintenance of office administration.

Age: 18 years and more than 43 years as on 01.01.2017. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for ST/SC candidates.

  Selection Procedure

* The candidates whose applications are accepted will be required to appear in a written test which will be conducted in the 6 centers in the state namely Guwahati, Bongaigaon, Tezpur, Silchar, Jorhat & Dibrugarh. There will be a common written examination except for that the post of Gaon Panchayat Secretary. The Commissioner, P&RD reserves the right to change the examination venues of the test and no representation etc. will be entertained in this regard.

* The written test will be 100 marks and will be completely OMR based. There will be 100 questions and each question will be of 1 (one) mark. There will be negative marking of ½ mark for each wrong answer. The questions will be set in three parts (i) Logical reasoning, aptitude, comprehension (ii) Matters relating to History and Culture of Assam and India and (iii) General Knowledge. Candidates will use black ball pen to answer the OMR based answer sheet. Duration of the test will be of 3 (three) hours.

* As there will be one written test for all the categories except Gaon Panchayat Secretary, candidates will have to indicate in order of preference of the advertised posts, the final merit list will be prepared on the basis of mark obtained and in order of preference and selection will be made on merit and roster point of SC/ST/OBC and PH candidates. For the post of Gaon Panchayat Secretary, a separate written test will be conducted and selection will be made on merit and roster point of SC/ST/OBC and PH candidates.

* (i) Based on the aggregate performance of the candidates in the written Examination, merit list will be prepared category wise for the posts on Grading basis, subject to the condition of successful completion of their character and antecedents verification and satisfactory Medical report from the competent authorities. The total numbers of finally selected candidates will be equal to the numbers of the existing vacancies advertised. No waiting list will be maintained.
(ii) The candidates who are employees of Govt. / PSUs / Autonomous bodies must apply through proper channel or obtain necessary permission in writing from the Competent Authority / Employer.
(iii) The Final Merit List will be prepared for GP Secretary Post based on the Top Ranking No. of Posts.

* There will be only ONE merit list for each category i.e. Unreserved /SC/ ST(P) / ST(H)/OBC & MOBC, separately for male and female for the entire State. There shall be no waiting list.

Secretariat Administration Department, Assam has released the admit card for the written examination for the recruitment of 174 posts of Junior Administrative Assistant. Candidates who applied for the Post of Junior Administrative Assistant in the Assam Secretariat in response to the Government Advertisement Reference No S(E)71/2014/163, dated 21.08.2017 are hereby informed to note the following:

1. The Written Examination will be held on 21.01.2018 in all the District Head Quarters of Assam. Duration of examination will be 3½ hours from 11.00 A.M. to 02.30 P.M.

2. The list of candidates who have been found eligible to sit for the Written Test will be uploaded to the website www.recruitmentaim.in. Applicants are advised to go to the above-mentioned website and check the Written Examination venue in which they will have to appear.

3. All information/instructions to the candidates and the Admit Cards will be available on the above website from 10.01.2018.

4. Candidates should visit the above website and download their individual Admit Card. They should also download the instructions.

* Interested and eligible candidates for GRADE IV POSTS can apply in the prescribed standard form of application along with  photocopies of all testimonials (self attested) regarding qualification, age, caste, employment exchange registration card, Caste certificate (in case of reserved category candidates), Disability Certificate (in case of Person with Disabilities) issued by competent authority, Original Treasury Challan, copy of BPL certificate in case of candidates of BPL families and two recent passport size photograph of the candidate with his /her signature at the top.
